Should Your Human Resources Team Work More Closely with IT?

Do HR and IT teams have a mutual understanding of one another? Some say no, they do not, and, further, it’s the toughest barrier to effective HR/IT collaboration.

Top-performing organizations are making HR-IT collaboration happen, and there are many ways HR and IT are working together today to ultimately power employee experiences for a workforce whose demands are greater than ever.

At the end of the day, it is a game of motivation. Brett Brosseau, vice president of Noble Gaming Solutions, sat down with Dom Nicastro of CMS Wire to discuss why ultimately, the HR and IT partnership in the workplace supports the effort of connecting with your employees on a motivational and emotional level.

In the report, “The Experience of Work” by The Economist/Intelligence Unit, researchers found that 32% of respondents said “lack of common objectives/key performance indicators” is the toughest barrier for a strong HR-IT relationship. According to Brett, this is largely due to generational spectrum shifts, meaning the shift in motivational levers as well. The solution? Reaching employees on the emotional level.
